in castos today we were trying out an industry standard software for UVing called Textool. we watched a video tutorial on how to use the software and then got on with out work. i very quickly discovered the software is suited more to something symmetrical on the Z side of the 3D scale and also if the object in question already had all the smoothing groups sorted. discovering this i realised my main weapon stand was too complicated for the software (or at least for a beginner using the software) so i decided to go for the small rifle stand that sits on top of the weapon stand, its really simple and helped me get to grips with the software

After discovering how good the pole-arm looked as an axe I decided to go with the idea displayed below.
this means i will have to change my original plan for the whole weapon set too, it will be 2 bladed tonfa with a bo-staff instead of just the bladed tonfa and unbladed tonfa that go together to create the other weapons
This is a prototype for the tonfa shape the finished product will have a hole in the hand for the staffff to go through, and depending on how you assemble the tonfa on the staff depends on what weapon you will create
i am a week behind with my four week plan as he weapon rack is still way to simple to be displayed as a proper model but i will catch up in the winter break

4 week plan and strategy
I've had this plan for 3 weeks already just haven't uploaded it so here's the plan and what I've done so far.
week one: research
in this week i will be researching and creating a mood board for 3 assets that are going into my scene, the weapon rack, the tonfa, and the pole-arm, baring in mind when i model these they will only be prototypes, no textures just general shapes that will probably be altered later
week 2, model tonfa
week three, model weapon rack
week 4 model pole-arm
